This will be announced later on. The ceremony will be held physically somewhere around February 2025.
The organiser is the Malta Esports Association.
Of course! The Malta Esports Association is a voluntary organisation, and everything is organised by volunteers. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!
You! Nominations will be open until the 31st December 2024!
Someone who has genuinely made an impact in esports! We will be assessing nominations based on three factors: (1) Results in international competition; (2) Results in local competition; (3) Contributions outside of the game. Make sure that your nomination includes detailed information why your nominee deserves to win the award based on these criteria - the nominee shortlist, as well as the judge voting will depend on the quality of your submission!
A panel of 9 judges, carefully selected for their knowledge of the esports scene and their neutrality will create a shortlist of up to a maximum of six nominees per category. The criteria used by the Executive Committee shall be those mentioned in the previous section. More nominations does not mean a higher chance to be shortlisted - this is not a popularity contest!
The panel of judges, carefully selected by the Executive Committee on the basis of their knowledge and experience in the esports sector, but also who are sufficiently distant and independent from the scene will be assigning points to the nominees (5 points for 1st choice, 3 points for 2nd choice, 1 point for 3rd choice), and the nominee with the highest points will win the award! The judges will be looking at the nominations made by the public, and therefore the quality of the nomination needs to be great!
